David: Hello and welcome to a mini-episode of Strong Sense of Place. We have two big announcements to share with you today. First, we’re going to give you an update on Season 4 of our Strong Sense of Place podcast. And then we’re going to announce a new project that starts today that we think you’ll enjoy.

Melissa: So let’s talk about Season 4. We’re very excited to let you know that Season 4 launches on April 25.

David: If you’re listening to this on the day we released it, that’s two weeks from Monday.

Melissa: It is! And in our first episode we’re getting curious about Iceland. That is by popular demand from our Patreon community.

David: Yeah, we asked our patrons for their Season 4 wishlist of destinations, and we got lots of good ideas.

Melissa: We did. And then, we merged their list with our rules about visiting every continent or region of the world each season, and we came up with a list of 12 awesome destinations and themes that span the globe.

David: So we’re going to tag-team the list. We’re starting on April 25 with Iceland, Thailand, Hotels, and Tasmania.

Melissa: Then we’re heading to Appalachia, South Africa, Museums, and Hawaii.

David: Turkey, the Atlantic Provinces of Canada

Melissa: Secret Passages, Italy - wrap up on September 26

David: All of that starts in just two weeks on April 25.

Melissa: And now, part two of our big announcements. We have a new project that is out TODAY.

David: One of the pieces of feedback we’ve gotten most often over the last two years, is that you all want more Strong Sense of Place. And we heard that. But, each full episode of our show takes us about two weeks of research, reading, recording, and production time. And until we figure out how to clone ourselves, we can’t make this show faster. BUT, we found a fun, creative solution that will allow us to talk to you every week and share cool stuff.

Melissa: It’s called The Library of Lost Time. It’s a weekly video you can watch on YouTube. You can also listen to the podcast version in your Strong Sense of Place stream just like you do now. It will just show up there like magic when you’re subscribed to Strong Sense of Place.

David: In each episode of The Library of Lost Time, we share two new book releases that we are very excited about. And then, we discuss our Distraction of the Week.

Melissa: Oh, I love the Distraction of the Week. The Distraction of the Week is something new that we’ve learned about books or reading or a travel destination that we think is worth a few minutes of your time. Smart procrastination!

David: It’s a few minutes of good stuff to make your day a little nicer and more interesting — or to give you something to talk about during a coffee break or at dinner.

Melissa: I want to add that The Library of Lost Time videos are really, really cute. Dave made awesome illustrations and animations that I think you’re going to love. And it’s really fun to talk about new books. You know we love backlist books, but there are so many great books coming up, this is a fun way to share that news with you.

David: And it starts today! The podcast should be in your podcast feed right now. But treat yourself to the visuals. Just go to strongsenseofplace.com/library to watch the new episodes and do us a favor — click over to YouTube to subscribe.

Melissa: So that’s the news. The Library of Lost Time right now. New episodes of our full Strong Sense of Place podcast on April 25.

David: As always, the best way to keep up with all the stuff we’re doing is our free Friday newsletter. Visit our website at strongsenseofplace.com to subscribe. Thanks for listening. We’ll talk to you soon.
